Heart of Iowa Nature Trail Cleanup Saturday, June 28
In an effort to help beautify the Heart of Iowa Trail, local citizens have organized a clean-up day along a portion of the trail. There is a fair amount of debris such as branches and limbs that need to be cleared. The City of Huxley will be providing a dump truck and chipper to assist in the effort, and we are counting on volunteers to assist. The clean-up will be focused on the section of the trail between 560th and Hwy 69.
Old shoes are recommended as the work is likely to include muddy conditions. Also, if you have a saw or any other tools that may be helpful for the clean-up effort you are encouraged to bring them along. We will be meeting in the grass lot east of Manatts on East 1st Street at 9:00 am on Saturday June 28th.
City of Huxley Awarded Grant
