    Reason for Service: I have lived most of my life in Huxley and like to contribute
    back to the City I was born and reared in.
    Goals: Keep Huxley in a progressive way with more economic development.
    Occupation: Retired Police Chief
    Other Service:President of the Huxley Historical Society, U.S. Marine Corps League
    and University of Iowa I Club
    Other interests: Iowa Hawkeye Sports and Golf Huxley.

    Reason for Service: Better city government and response to the citizens of this community
    Goals: Improve city infrastructure and services,improve communications within our city government and between the government and citizens.  In addition I hope to help decrease use of TIF in future, increase business and lower property taxes.
    Occupation: Sales Engineer for Scale SOURCE North LLC Responsible for Iowa.
    Other Service: Member and Past President- Huxley Prairie Festival, Inc. and Member- Huxley Historical society.  Chairman – Finance Committee- Trinity United Methodist Church.  Chairman- PPRC Committee- Trinity United Methodist Church
    Other interests:Family, remodeling our house, gardening, Cooking/baking, antique tractors and cars.

    Reasons for service: To become more involved in the community and to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem by improveing communication and relationships between city representatives, school district and citizens.  To identify options to reduce TIF reliance and property taxes. In addition to helping create housing pricing solutions by identifing programs and resources so we aren’t pricing lower and moderate income people out of our community.  And lastly, to support city staff in their efforts to provide quality services to citizens
    Goals: To improved communications within the community, lower TIF reliance, help grow commercial development and tax base, lower property taxes, improve infrastructure, communicate existing housing programs to citizens and develop new programs using LMI funds that will become available and represent all citizens impartially

    Appointed to complete unexpired term till election in 2007.  Elected in November 2007 to fill unexpired term. 
    Expires: January 1, 2010
    Reason for service: Huxley has been good to my family so when I was asked to serve,it was an easy choice.
    Goals: Be fiscally responsible, attempt to keep the city's focus on last year's extensive citizen survey results, help design an attractive entry corridor to our city that will serve for a long time.
    Occupation: Retired junior high/middle school teacher, academic and athletic coach; part time sociological researcher.
    Other service: Founder of former South Story Track Club, former Planning and Zoning Council member, co-Division Chair - Ballard Division, United Way of Story County, former State House of Representatives candidate.
    Other interests: travel, music, track and field, drag racing.
