Chief Mark A. Pote 
Mark started his law enforcement career by joining the Iowa National Guard in 1987. He became a Military Police Officer and served with the 186th MP Company out of Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa. Mark is also a Gulf War Veteran. Mark joined the Coon Rapids Police Department in 1989 and graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in the spring of 1990 and immediately started with the Corning Police Department. Mark was with the Corning Police Department for almost 7 ½ years and then moved to Huxley with his family in October of 1997 when he was hired on to the Police Department. Mark was promoted to Detective in 2000 and then applied for the Police Chief’s position in December of 2003. Mark was hired as Police Chief in January of 2004. Mark enjoys Huxley and the people that call it home. Mark is very involved with the community by being on the Park and Rec board and serving as Chairman for over 5 years. Mark is also employed by the Ballard Community Schools as a bus driver and shop help. Mark has two children Spencer and Kasie.
Joe Marchesano
Officer Marchesano began his career in law enforcement as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Baxter, Iowa in November of 2000. He was then hired by the City of New London, Iowa as a full time Police Officer in October of 2002 and was sent to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in Johnston, Iowa. He is a graduate of the 192nd class at the academy. Officer Marchesano has a young daughter that lives in Des Moines, Ia and was lucky enough to be hired by the City of Huxley in July of 2004. Wanting to further serve his community, Officer Marchesano volunteered to be a Huxley Fire Fighter in November of 2006. In his off time he enjoys spending time with his daughter Allie. Officer Marchesano enjoys working for the city of Huxley and getting to know the people that live here.
Nate Albaugh
Officer Nate Albaugh started his law enforcement career as a Ranger at Jackson Lake State Park in Orchard, Colorado during the summer of 2002. He was later hired as a Police Officer with the City of Bellevue, Iowa during the spring of 2003 and was sent to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in Camp Dodge where he graduated with the 197th Class. Officer Albaugh served Bellevue for 3 years before being hired by the City of Huxley as a Police Officer during the summer of 2006.
Officer Albaugh is a graduate of Ballard High School and later the University of Northern Iowa where he earned a degree in Sociology. He has also completed Fire Fighter I and EMT-B training. Officer Albaugh is proud to further serve his hometown by being a member of the Huxley Fire Department and First Responders.
Jason Eaton
Officer Jason Eaton is currently assigned to the position of School Resource Officer. Prior to this assignment he served as a Patrol Officer where he worked primarily evenings and over-night shifts. Jason's law enforcement career began when he was sent to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in the summer of 2003. While serving on the Huxley Police Department Officer Eaton has furthered his training by attending classes on missing children, sexual assault crimes, drug recognition, edged-weapons defense, verbal judo, use of force, ground fighting and is certified as a tactical handcuffing instructor.Officer Eaton is a graduate of Ballard High School and has also received an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the Des Moines Area Community College. Officer Eaton is currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration."No quality is more indispensable to a Police Officer than a perfect command of temper; a quiet, determined manner has more effect than violent action."

Gerry Stoll
Officer Stoll has worked for the Huxley Police Department since January 1993 and is currently a Sergeant. Gerry says "I enjoy working for the City of Huxley and Cambridge, and plan to spend my entire career here." In addition to working for the Police department Gerry is also a Ballard School Bus driver during the school year and mows lawns for Ballard Schools in the summer. Officer Stoll is a practioner of Tae Kwon Do and a blackbelt. He and his family live on an acerage just outside of Huxley and enjoy spending time with each other.
